Unified Trust Company, NA, (www.unifiedtrust.com)is a nationally
chartered trust company founded by CEO Gregory W.Kasten, MD, MBA,
CFP, CPC. In 1985 Dr.Kasten, then a Board Certified Anesthesiologist
practicing in Lexington, Kentucky, started one of the few fee-only
investment advisory practices then existing in the United States.
Specializing in asset management for fellow physicians and
high-net-worth clients, Dr.Kasten ’s reputation grew so rapidly that
he left the practice of medicine and built his firm into a national
wealth management firm with a reputation for prudence and sound
investment philosophy. His original advisory practice joined the
Unified family of companies in 1997 and has become a key component
in the success of our organization.
Dr. Kasten has received numerous acknowledgements for being a leader
in the retirement plan and wealth management field. Most recently,
Unified Trust Company and Dr. Kasten were profiled in the December
2004 issue of Financial Advisor Magazine outlining their use of
their proprietary Fiduciary Monitoring Index (FMI).
