Steppin’ Out is proud to announce the Student Dance Internship Program.

• The program is open to any Steppin’ Out student age 16 and older with at least two years experience in the dance discipline they wish to teach.

• The student interns chosen for this program will teach dance to students enrolled in the Steppin’ Out Summer Dance Program. They will be required to take a dance pedagogy workshop and have their lesson plans reviewed by Beth Berry before classes start for the Summer Dance Program.

• Student interns will be chosen based on their ability, availability, and dedication to the program.

• Student interns will teach Pre-Dance, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Tap to children age 2-18 in one to four of the sessions available.

• Student interns will be paid an hourly wage for the classes they are teaching. Paychecks will be distributed the last Wednesday of every month.

• Students interested in the Dance Internship Program should pick up and return completed application to the receptionist by the end of March.

We feel that this is an excellent opportunity for our students to get the chance to teach their own dance classes. It is also a great chance for our younger dancers to dance with and get to know our older dancers.
