Dress Code
 
Clothing:
Pre-Dance Any color leotard, tights or anklets and ballet slippers.
Ballet All 30 minute ballet classes may wear any color leotard, tights, and pink Bloch ballet slippers (not split-soled).  All 45 minute ballet classes need to wear a black leotard, pink tights, and pink Bloch ballet slippers (not split-soled).
Tap Black leotard, pink, tan, or black tights, and tan “Mary Jane” tap shoes. (You may wear short black dance shorts with no writing on them).  Beginning & intermediate tap may wear any color leotard, shorts, or capris.
Jazz Black leotard, pink, tan, or black tights, and tan slip on jazz shoes. (You may wear short black dance shorts with no writing on them).  Beginning Jazz may wear any color leotard and shorts.
Hip Hop Shorts or capris, no pants, leotard or fitted shirt, black Bloch jazz sneaker.
Pre-Pointe Black leotard, professional seamed ballet tights, and pink Bloch canvas split-sole ballet slippers.
Lyrical Black leotard, pink, tan, or black tights, and tan slip-on jazz shoes or foot thong. (You may wear short black dance shorts with no writing on them).  No tights or footless tights.
Modern Black leotard, pink, tan, or black tights. (You may wear short black dance shorts with no writing on them).
Pointe Black leotard, and professional seamed ballet tights, and pointe shoes of any kind as long as they fit you correctly and you have your teacher’s approval before you sew and wear them.
Masters Black leotard, pink, tan, or black tights, and tan slip-on jazz shoes. (You may wear short black dance shorts with no writing on them).  Intermediate and Advanced Master Jazz should wear tan jazz shoe.
Aerobics Loose-fitting clothing that allows movement and sturdy, comfortable athletic shoes.
Pilates Loose-fitting clothing that allows movement.
Yoga Loose-fitting clothing that allows movement.
Ballroom Loose-fitting clothing that allows movement.

Shoes:
Ballet shoes required for intermediate-advanced ballet dancers.

Bloch®’s new "Pump" split-sole canvas ballet slipper features a new last and upper, a heel seam cushion and a breakthrough technique reducing underfoot lumps. Crisscross pre-swen elastic inlcuded.

Fitting:
Women 2 to 3 sizes smaller

Jazz shoes required for intermediate and advanced jazz and lyrical dancers. Beginning Jazz classes need to wear black split-sole shoes.

Capezio®'s Stretch Insert "GT" Jazz Boot. The durable, soft leather upper with a slim cut that enhances the line of the foot and the split-sole design with a stretch insert that hugs the arch. EVA sole and heel provide traction yet allow for smooth turns. Tan color not suntan color.

Fitting:
Women same as street
Men 2 sizes larger

Tap shoes required for intermediate-advanced tap dancers.

Bloch®’s leather upper, leather sole tap shoe with ¾” heel. The buckle is attached by elastic for a firmer fit and the taps are screwed on top of a resonating board. Rubber pad on metatarsal. Tan color.

Fitting:
Women 1/2 to 1 size larger

Shoes required for all hip-hop dancers.

Bloch's low top dance sneaker. The upper is made of synthetic leather/neoprene that is 3 times stronger than leather. The neoprene makes it easier to point and hugs the arch for a perfect line. Black.

Fitting:
Women 1/2 to 1 size larger
Men 2 1/2 to 3 sizes larger.

Ballet tights required for all intermediate-advanced ballet and pointe dancers.

Capezio®’s adult mesh 100% Nylon seamed tights with slit on foot are a tradition in classical dance. Features include a comfortable 1” plush waistband and dyed-to-match CoolMax® gusset for color uniformity and moisture management. Final sale.
