Jim and Beth Berry, Brittney
Tyler Coughlin, and Leah Stupeck formed Steppin’ Out Studio of
Dance in 2004.
Beth Berry had been teaching dance in her home basement for a
number of years when her enrollment outgrew her home studio. She
then had to decide between no longer teaching dance and moving to
a bigger location. The idea of Steppin’ Out Studio of Dance was born. In
the summer of 2004 the Berry’s, Brittney, and Leah worked together
to form what you now know as Steppin’ Out Studio of Dance.
Our studio has a total of five high tech dance rooms with wall
to-wall mirrors, dance barres, stereo systems, and Harlequin dance
floors.
Each studio has a video camera that transmits real time video to a
monitor in the waiting room so that parents can watch their
students as they practice in class.
Outside of the studios there are cubbies and coat hangers for the
dancers to keep their belongings organized.
Because many of our staff and students consider Steppin’ Out their
second home we have a kitchen with a refrigerator and microwave
for their convenience.
A first rate dance education is very important to us, but so is an
academic education. We have a study area equipped with individual
cubicles and Internet access.
