We recommend this dog fence if your dog is over 30 pounds and is extremely stubborn or hard to train. The Stubborn Dog Receiver has five levels of correction plus vibration in the warning area for an added deterrent and a low battery light to let you know when to replace the battery. Level five on the Stubborn Dog Receiver is approximately 25% stronger than level five on the Deluxe Ultralight Receiver. Some breeds need the Stubborn Dog Receiver even though they may not necessarily be hard to train.  Our experience has found the Labs, Shepherds, Akitas and similar breeds often need the Stubborn Dog Receiver.  This is usually due to these breeds being less sensitive to the correction due to thick skin and/or thick fur. You can order just the right system for your size yard. The four systems below, are the most popular and include enough wire and flags to cover yards from 1/3 to 5 acres in size.  Most people have yards that are 5 acres or less.  If your yard is larger than 5 acres, all you need is more wire and flags. If you need more than 2,000 feet of wire, there is a link in the right hand menu labeled "Extra Wire & Flags". This system is capable of enclosing up to 25 acres. Boundary flags are used to establish a visual boundary for your pet during training. After about 30 days, you will be able to remove the flags.

If you live in an area that is highly prone to lightning or surges, you may want to consider our Lightning Protection Module. You can order the Lightning Protection Module at the bottom of this page.  Regardless, your system is covered under warranty against lightning or surge damage.
