The Standard Dog Fence is for
easy or average to train dogs of all types. It includes the
Ultralight Receiver with one correction level, similar to level 3 on
the Deluxe Ultralight Receiver. This receiver does not have a low
battery light. Cover up to 25 acres with this dog fence.
We recommend this dog fence if
your dog is 5 pounds or over and trains very easily. The
Ultralight Receiver has one level of correction and does not
have the low battery indicator light. Approximate
Receiver Size: 1.3 ounces - 2 x 1 1/8 x 1 inches.
How The Standard Dog Radio Fence Works
The Transmitter plugs into a standard
outlet and emits a radio signal that travels along an underground
wire. You can adjust the signal to up to 15 feet from the wire. In
most cases, a 4-6 foot signal field will be the best for optimal
training. The lightweight receiver worn on your pet's collar picks
up the radio signal and alerts him as he nears the underground
boundary that you have customized for your yard. When he approaches
the boundary, he receives a warning beep. If your dog does not
return, he receives a static correction which is startling but not
harmful. Our maintenance free design and ease of installation offers
tremendous savings compared to conventional fencing and other
systems of this type.
Radio Fence makes it easy to train
your pet. By spending just 15 minutes a day working with your pet,
he can be fully trained in a few days. You can train as many dogs as
you want on the same system, as long as they are each wearing a
receiver collar. Additional receivers are available if your have
more than one dog.
Radio Fence offers the flexibility
you need to solve your installation needs. Bury the boundary wire
underground approximately 1-2 inches deep. Using your own design,
you can protect your flower and seedbeds, shrubs, trees and even
swimming pools. The link below shows the most common ways to layout
your Radio Fence®, but there are almost endless ways of installing a

poly propylene coated boundary wire. Our wire is

get the best system - and best wire
- for their individual needs each and every time. |
You can order just the right system
for your size yard. The four systems below, are the most popular and
include enough wire and flags to cover yards from 1/3 to 5 acres in
size. Most people have yards that are 5 acres or less. If your
yard is larger than 5 acres, all you need is more wire and flags.
If you need more than 2,000 feet of wire, you can order additional
boundary kits at the bottom of this page. This system is capable of
enclosing up to 25 acres. Boundary flags are used to establish a
visual boundary for your pet during training. After about 30 days,
you will be able to remove the flags.
If you live in an
area that is highly prone to lightning or surges, you may want to
consider our
Lightning Protection Module.
You can order the Lightning Protection Module at the bottom of this
page. Regardless, your system is covered under warranty against
lightning or surge damage.
Additional Ultralight Receivers are
also listed on this page. If you have more than one dog, you will
need an additional receiver for each of them.
