How The Premium Dog Radio Fence Works
The Transmitter plugs into a standard
outlet and emits a radio signal that travels along an underground
wire. You can adjust the signal to up to 15 feet from the wire. In
most cases, a 4-6 foot signal field will be the best for optimal
training. The lightweight receiver worn on your pet's collar picks
up the radio signal and alerts him as he nears the underground
boundary that you have customized for your yard. When he approaches
the boundary, he receives a warning beep. If your dog does not
return, he receives a static correction which is startling but not
harmful. Our maintenance free design and ease of installation offers
tremendous savings compared to conventional fencing and other
systems of this type.
Radio Fence makes it easy to train
your pet. By spending just 15 minutes a day working with your pet,
he can be fully trained in a few days. You can train as many dogs as
you want on the same system, as long as they are each wearing a
receiver collar. Additional receivers are available if your have
more than one dog.
Radio Fence offers the flexibility
you need to solve your installation needs. Bury the boundary wire
underground approximately 1-2 inches deep. Using your own design,
you can protect your flower and seedbeds, shrubs, trees and even

You can order just the right Deluxe
Dog Fence for your size yard. The Deluxe Dog Fences listed below are
the most popular and include enough wire and flags to cover yards
from 1/3 to 5 acres in size. If your yard is larger than 5
acres, all you need is more wire and flags. This system is
capable of enclosing up to 25 acres. Training flags are used to
establish a visual boundary for your pet during training. After
about 30 days, you will be able to remove the flags.

Avoid having to bury the wire and cut your installation

These are waterproof splices that virtually eliminate any
problems in the future with your splices.
- Extra Batteries.
During fence set up and pet training, you will put a greater
than normal load on the battery that comes with your dog fence.
You may need to replace this original battery after 30-60 days
depending on how much testing and training you do. Under
normal circumstances battery life is 6-8 months.

5 acres or less. If your yard is larger than 5 acres, all you need
is more wire and flags. If you need more than 2,000 feet of wire,
you can order additional boundary kits at the bottom of this page.
This system is capable of enclosing up to 25 acres. Boundary
flags are used to establish a visual boundary for your pet during
training. After about 30 days, you will be able to remove the flags.
If you live in an area that is highly
prone to lightning or surges, you may want to consider our
Lightning Protection Module. You
can order the Lightning Protection Module at the bottom of this
page. Regardless, your system is covered under warranty against
lightning or surge damage.
Additional Deluxe Ultralight Receivers and other accessories for the
Premium Radio Fence™ are also listed on this page. If you have more
than one dog, you will need an additional receiver for each of
them.
We
recommend you get extra batteries with your order. Initial system
set up and pet training will create more drain on the batteries than
normal. Typically the batteries included with the system will need
to be replaced after 30-60 days. Battery life under normal usage
averages 4-6 months.
