The Amy Mac Designs Story
Amy Mac is a simple girl. with a complicated love for purses. It all started on a cold, blustery day somewhere way up north. Spring was on its way, and all the fun, funky, retro fabrics were on display at local textile shops. All Amy could think about was what cute purses the fabrics would make. So she snatched up some of those cute fabrics, designed a simple, reversible purse, had friends from all over the country requesting the stylish and functional bags, and the rest is accessories history.

As the purses and totes, all of which can be monogrammed, continued to sell faster than Amy could make them, she continued designing and has since launched Amy Mac Baby & Kids, full of terrific items like adorable dresses for girls (with matching hair accessories), diaper bags, girls purses and burp cloth and bib sets in cool vintage fabrics. Reversible belts have been a very popular addition to the Spring/Summer 2005 line-up of products.

Amy Mac Designs is located in Atlanta , where the access to cool, retro fabrics and trims are endless . which means lots of opportunities to find new fabrics and trims that we just have to have!

Amy Mac Designs is owned by Amy McCormick Dawson. After several years in the corporate world post-college, Amy decided to stay home with her girls, Callie, 6, and Hadley, 4, but was soon bitten by the entrepreneurial bug.  After living in Cincinnati and Wisconsin, she and her husband, Jake, and their girls have settled down in the Atlanta area.
